A SHED has hit the market for $169,000 in North Queensland.

Located at Balgal Beach, the shed is literally just that, a shed, but it has been converted into a weekender complete with a shower and toilet.

One street back from the beach, the shed is airconditioned and connected to town water.

There is a septic system, undercover area for a boat or a place to relax, and plenty of room to build a house on the 809sq m block.

“Just pack your swag and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle at the beach,” the listing by Ian Clarke of Ian Clarke Real Estate says.

But it is not the only shack for sale.

At Nome, a shack that was listed for $150,000 negotiable is now under offer.

Located in the fishing enclave of Cleveland Palms, the shack, which appears to be a converted donga, at least has a bedroom, kitchen and living areas.

But it has a kitchen

There is also airconditioning, ceiling fans, a double garage and verandas.

Meanwhile, in Rubyvale, a “liveable holiday shack” is listed for $45,000 and comes with a mining claim.

The listing says it has an “open plan kitchen, dining and lounge room with indoor fireplace”.

There is also a split system airconditioner in the bedroom and a caravan attached to the rear of the property with two bunk beds and a double bed.

“Plenty of wash left to mine underground,” the listing says.

Shacks area also available for $55,000 in Sapphire.
