Don’t be fooled by this beach shack’s facade.

It might look like a modest holiday home from the outside but its modernised interior paints a very different picture.

The Hindmarsh Island property at 110 Sugars Ave has a cool coastal theme, making it easy to lean into the relaxing beachside lifestyle.

From blue and white hues to weathered-looking timber and beach-themed light fixtures, the shack is what coastal holiday home dreams are made of.

It could be more than just an escape in your daydreams though – the three-bedroom shack with panoramic water views and direct access to the beach is on the market.

Elders Real Estate Goolwa principal Lucas Bradley, who is selling the property with a $695,000 to $725,000 price guide, said the owners bought it about two years ago but were selling it because they haven’t had a chance to use it as much as they’d have liked.

Can you guess Adelaide’s most expensive street?

“They bought it pretty well as is but they’ve changed a few things,” said Mr Bradley, who is selling the property with Shenae Williams.

“It’s purely a holiday home for private use only, which it’s perfect for.”

The shack has three bedrooms, a separate bathroom and laundry, and an open kitchen dining and living area that opens onto a veranda overlooking the sea.

There is also another deck in the sand dunes overlooking the water. Picture: realestate.com.au

There is also a veranda with an outdoor oven and kitchenette on the streetside of the home, as well as a stand alone deck among the sand dunes overlooking the beach.

Mr Bradley said the property offered a rare opportunity as it was one of just seven shacks in that spot, which is directly opposite the Murray Mouth.

He already had several inquiries within the first couple of days of it hitting the market so he was expecting it to be hotly contested.

“The position is number one, and it’s got that coastal character and charm about it too,” he said.

The shack is a leasehold property, meaning the buyer will own the shack, its improvements and the land until the lease expires in 2060.
