A tiny one bedroom unit has sold in a day for more than the cost of an average house in Brisbane.
6028/6 Parkland Boulevard, Brisbane City sold for $840,000 with seven offers after the first inspection.
Property agent Alex Rutherford from Place Estate Agents New Farm said the enquiries were off the charts.

“For the first open home I had to stand outside in the corridor. We had 22 groups through the first open home, so around 70 people which was incredible,” Ms Rutherford said.
“The vendors were surprised. We predicted it would sell in the eights but didn’t expect what we got, they were thrilled.

“The apartment and townhouse markets are so competitive at the moment. The demand we have seen over the last two and a half weeks is out of control.”

Meanwhile, a townhouse at 9 Conon Street, Lutwyche has seen off the chart enquiries with 14 offers within the first three days of the campaign.
The property is now under offer for an undisclosed price.

Ms Rutherford said the vendors were a bit surprised as some similar properties aren’t performing in the same sort of alignment as the Lutwyche property.
“We aren’t able to predict the outcome of a campaign until we launch a home onto the public forum. The home has city views, it’s elevate, it’s still really affordable so close to the city without paying over a million dollar mark,” she said.

“In the townhouse and unit/apartment market we’re seeing offers cash unconditional, it’s so competitive. It’s prime real estate, we’re back to a Covid kind of dynamic.
“The new owners have been transferred up to Brisbane for work, it’s going to be a base for them. They are well accustomed with the market. The people that have missed out on this home were first home buyers.”
