He struck gold when he created The Oodie, and now entrepreneur and Shark Tank shark Davie Fogarty is hoping to see similar success when he sells his innovative Glenelg South home.

Mr Fogarty bought former Power legend Chad Cornes’ 12 Farrell St home for $2.7m in October 2020 – attracted by its location – and has since updated the property throughout.

“I always wanted to live down near the beach because it’s such a beautiful spot,” Mr Fogarty said.

“I could go for a walk after a long, stressful day of work, and Glenelg South was a great option because it’s so close to Jetty Rd and the beach.”

Mr Fogarty said, while the home could easily cater for huge, pumping parties, his celebrations have all been incredibly neighbour-friendly.

“I have been well behaved – the Holdfast council and all of the residents said I have been a model citizen, but we’ve had staff parties there of around 60 people or so and it’s been great,” he said.

The home has up to five bedrooms, several indoor and outdoor entertainment areas, a pool, a tennis court, a fire pit area, a sauna and sits on a spacious 1129sqm allotment.

“This was my first home and I saved up for it … so it was a big part of my life, but I’m excited to move on to the next chapter,” Mr Fogarty says.

That next chapter involves a move to Mylor in the Adelaide Hills and a some exciting new business ventures.

“I’ve got a couple of new businesses launching in the coming weeks which should be exciting but they’re really around creating content, which Mylor is fantastic at facilitating,” Mr Fogarty said.

Mr Fogarty said he was excited to see the public response to the new season of Shark Tank, which he has just filmed.

“It was an intense filming session but very rewarding and it’s going to be a great season,” he said.

But despite having a reported net worth of $500m and being able to afford to live anywhere in the world, don’t expect him to turn his back on his home state.

“I moved to Melbourne for one year to work in e-commerce and develop my skills and I would never go anywhere else but South Australia,” he said.

“I think it made me really appreciate SA – it’s more affordable, it has everything you could want, especially being a young entrepreneur, so I love every part of South Australia and I don’t think I would ever move away.”
