Jai Arrow bought a home in Maroubra.

South Sydney Rabbitohs enforcer Jai Arrow has bought his first home since making the move from Queensland three years ago.

Just like teammate Lachlan Illias, Arrow homed in on the Bunnies’ new heartland, purchasing in Maroubra.

Seven years in the making, the Rabbitohs recently made the move from their longtime Redfern HQ to the new $58m training complex.

Arrow’s $2.24m purchase is just a few streets away. He snapped up the renovated three-bedroom home two weeks into its auction campaign.

The home had last sold in 2021 for $1.92m.

It was marketed by NG Farah agents Clodagh Tuite and Stephanie Farah as “designer family luxury in a quiet, sought-after pocket”.

The home, that fetched under the suburb’s $2.47m median for three bedrooms, had last sold for $1.92m, as is, exactly two years ago.

Set on 235sq m, it features a striking black kitchen which adjoins a Herringbone floored living and dining space that opens to a covered deck and a west-facing garden. Its master retreat has a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite.

His teammate Lachlan Ilias recently jumped on the ladder as a 21-year-old first-home buyer, paying $1.8m for an apartment nearer the beach. He too acted swiftly, securing it pre-auction.

Arrow retains houses in Queensland, bought when he was at the Gold Coast Titans.

There’s a three-bedroom home in Burleigh Heads which cost $635,000 in 2019. A year later he spent $750,000 on a 1970s home in Palm Beach.

For a while, Arrow was a flatmate of teammate Liam Knight, who also recently bought his first home in Sydney. He’s spent $1,625,000 on a townhouse in Vaucluse, not the most frequented suburb by NRL players.

The three-level townhouse, built in the early 2000s, sat on the market for seven months. Selling for the first time since $1.18m in 2014, the townhouse has a courtyard garden. There are three bedrooms, with the master occupying the third level.

No sign yet of any purchase by Rabbitohs legend Sam Burgess, who is looking to upsize given he is set to have a baby with his partner Lucy Graham.

His Little Bay apartment was pulled from auction for the second time midweek. Initially listed with $1.2m guidance, it now comes with a $1.1m buyers guide through NG Farah agent Martin Farah.
