The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed former quarterback Tim Tebow to a one-year deal to play tight end according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Tebow, 33, was a former first round pick by the Denver Broncos. He spent two seasons with the team an notably won a playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After his time in Denver, he played for the Jets for one season. In his career, Tebow has passed for 2,422 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions on 47.9 percent completion.

Following his attempts to be a pro quarterback, Tebow tried his hand at professional baseball. He batted .223 for his career in the minor leagues. Tebow played in AAA for the Mets organization in 2019, but has not played since. Over the last several seasons, he has been an SEC Network personality.

With his former college coach, Urban Meyer, taking over Tebow’s hometown NFL team, the former Florida Gator was given a workout by the team. He refused to move positions earlier in his NFL career, but it may be more to his skillset, as Tebow rushed for nearly 1,000 yards over three NFL seasons.
