Continuous Improvement Through
Institutional Collaboration

Thank you for your interest in “Templates, Quality Assurance, and Shared Governance Through Collaborative Leadership.” The webinar recording is now available. Please note: the recording is available for 30 days from the date of the webinar. After that, you can find the webinar video in the MyQM Reference Library.

During the webinar, presenter Angel Mootispaw from Southern State Community College shared how her institution’s shared governance policy impacts how it approaches online learning. By focusing on collaboration between faculty and administration, Angel and her staff have been able to optimize their online courses, increasing navigability and decreasing drop rates. Angel explained many of the concepts her team has successfully implemented — in particular, the high-quality LMS template they have built — to improve courses, and the processes they have used to support compliance and investment in these improvements.

Help Your Learners Thrive

One person helps another ascend a mountain climb while the sun rises or sets in the background
The team at Southern State Community College collaborates to ensure that their courses invite learners to easily access and navigate their coursework so the path to success is clear. With QM’s Design That Welcomes Your Learners workshop, you’ll learn to make sure your learners have what they need to accomplish their goals. Upcoming sessions begin on Feb. 1, Mar. 11, Mar. 14, and June 20.

Optimize Your Templates

The development of strong, quality LMS templates was a major contributing factor to the success Angel and her team have seen. QM recently partnered with D2L to create a FREE master class, Quality Learning with Quality Matters. The course is all about building better LMS templates that make it easy for your faculty to design their courses with best practices in mind. Sign up for the master class, and attend a special webinar, D2L and QM: Integrating Quality from the Start, with D2L’s Cristi Ford and QM’s Bethany Simunich on quality templates tomorrow, Jan. 24 at 1 pm. ET.

Learn From Your Peers

A person presents at QM Connect
Angel and her staff shared the practices that worked for their institution to develop better online courses. For more member-derived ideas and insights, attend QM’s 2024 conferences, including the Research Online Conference on Feb. 16. Have your own idea worth sharing? Starting Jan. 29, prepare your proposal to present at QM Connect, Nov. 3-6 in Rosemont, IL — create your submission by the early deadline of Mar. 29 to get valuable feedback you can use for your final submission.
FREE for all QM Members! View the archived sessions of QM Success Stories by logging into MyQM and clicking the webinar title for the description and recording link.
