Berlin’s Riot Games Arena is ready to feature the second EMEA League since Valorant’s franchising. With 11 teams, the EMEA Kickoff will start on February 20. Things will be much different this time compared to 2023, as the month-long round-robin format will be replaced by GSL groups, making the tournament much shorter.

Teams will be fighting for a spot in the upcoming Masters Madrid as well as EMEA Points that will help them secure slots in this year’s Champions event. Here’s your viewer guide for the 2024 EMEA League:

This year's league structure differs significantly from 2023's round-robin matches. The format has become slightly more complicated, with 11 teams in the competition. The Kickoff will start with a Group Stage, followed by a Play-In stage and Playoffs.

Group Stage

There will be three GSL groups at this level. The top teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The second best will have to compete in the Play-In stage.

Out of the three groups, two will feature four teams apiece. The third group will have three teams to accommodate the league's 11 teams.

FNATIC, the best EMEA team at Champions 2023, will receive a bye in Group C due to their performance last year. As a result, winning only one match will qualify them for the Playoffs.

Play-In

The second-place squads from each of the three groups will proceed to the Play-In stage. In Play-In, the three squads will compete in a round-robin style. The top roster will make it to the playoffs.

Playoffs

Four eligible teams from the Group Stage and Playoffs will participate in the Playoffs, which will be a single-elimination bracket.
