THE stars aligned perfectly to find this Huon property its new owners.

Homelands sales manager Amber Leighton said No.39 Dillons Hill Rd, Glaziers Bay had been purchased about two months after the buyers first saw it.

Firstly, it was under contact with another buyer, who cooled off. Next, it was withdrawn from the market, as her vendor was considering retiring to the gorgeous acreage.

“The people who have bought it had inspected the property at a showing,” Ms Leighton said.

“They got back in touch weeks later and said they’d love to buy it if it was still available.

“From our vendor’s point of view, it felt like it was meant to be.

“They would have happily retired here, but were equally pleased with being able to sell the property.”

The Glaziers Bay acreage went unconditional on January 9 with a $1.32m sale price. This was Tasmania’s top sale of that week, per realestate.com.au figures.

However, Ms Leighton said they were originally looking for something different.

“They were after a property with pasture, which is more common in this area, but No.39 offers more of a bushland setting,” she said.

“But the incredible view? The view is unforgettable and a big part of the property’s appeal.

“Even on the same strip of road, it would be a challenge to find the same type of view.

“The home is elevated, just enough, that you don’t see the road below, but not so much that you feel like you are away from the water.

“And it’s wonderful, a really broad view right up the river.

“The house is positioned right in the middle of its seven acres. It offers complete privacy from its corner position.”
