What makes someone eligible for this list? First, they have to have a primary position of a centre midfielder. CDMs and CAMs won’t be found here, but you can find them in our other lists (more on that below).

That’s not to say that these guys can’t also fill in as a CDM or a CAM, just that they specialise in being a box-to-box player, not solely focussed on offensive of defensive duties.
