Team Nigma has been able to overshadow Hellbear Smashers in the EU 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division to win the series 2-0. Without linchpin Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi, since he was unable to participate in this particular series due to sickness, the fans of the TI7 champions were apprehensive of the team’s performance. But coach Roman "rmN-" Paley put up a solid showing in the midlane as a stand-in to assist Team Nigma in securing a crucial 2-0 win. Nigma now climbs up one position in the points table to place themselves on the third spot with three wins and two losses. On the other hand, Hellbear Smashers have unfortunately almost guaranteed themselves a relegation into the Lower Division in the next DPC season with losses in all five series.

Interview: rmN- explains the reason behind playing in the midlane as a stand-in

Team Nigma had communicated through its Twitter handle that Miracle- was unable to play this series against Smashers because he was not feeling well. Fans had then speculated rmN-’s role in the series, which surprisingly turned out to be in the midlane. Speaking regarding the same, the coach said,

“I mean, we did think about getting another stand-in but in the end decided to go this route since I believe we don’t wanna change up too many things. Miracle- is out. I just go mid, we do not have to swap more roles, and it is just that."
