Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC: Will There Be Any?

Even though Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have recently released, fans will be beating these games and wanting more. This comes naturally as they have been getting a new Pokemon fix of some type nearly every year for more than 25 years. While Pokemon is probably already hard at work with Generation 10, there are fans that are going to be looking for some DLC. Here is the best answer at the moment for whether Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have any DLC.

Pokemon, to some degree, was one of the first gaming companies to do something similar to what DLC has become. With games like Pokemon Yellow, Saphire, Emerald and Platinum, they were always adding more content. The difference is that back then, it had to come in its own game instead of just as an add-on.

That is why it was such a big deal when Pokemon Sword and Shield had their own DLC. The Isle or Armor and The Crown Tundra each brought an additional five or so hours of story and a bunch of Pokemon from previous generations.

There were also brand new Legendary Pokemon and a new form of Slowpoke. These additions helped to expand on the region of Galar and its surrounding area while also giving Pokemon fans a quick hit of new content.

Because of this, it is safe to assume that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will get some form of DLC. Even those who have played the game early have said that the game is perfectly setup for DLC in some fashion or another.

To be clear, this sentiment may just be that, what people hope and think. The Pokemon Company has not confirmed or even let out any leaks of possible DLC. That being said, it feels pretty likely that it will happen, it is just a matter of when.

Considering the Sword and Shield DLC was about six-months and a year after the initial release, fans should expect a similar timeline for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
