It has been quite a while since a new League of Legends champion was not only released but actually seen as well. Overnight, Riot Games finally revealed her, most likely due to leakers showing her trailer first. Here is a look at the League of Legends Naafiri Trailer which shows her true form and the pack that she will hunt with.

Below is a look at the full trailer released by Riot Games.

This one shows how Naafiri became a Darkin. A person was making their way across the Shuriman desert and was attacked by a pack of wolves. They not only likely killed this person but they took the Darkin Dagger that they were taking with them. Maybe they were possessed by the Darkin spirit of Naafiri first?

Regardless it looks as though Naafiri will be doing a few different things that many melee assassins do and some that no one as likely ever seen in League of Legends before. The first is that she will obviously slash or stab in some way. That was not only shown in the trailer but has also been leaked by BigBadBear on Twitter in assets seen on PBE for TFT.

Also, she will fight with her pack. In what manner is yet to be seen. It is clear from her description and what was seen in the trailer though that her pack is also a part of the Darkin form which is very interesting. This is the first known instance of a Darkin character taking over multiple beings. There is a clear leader of the pack but the rest go from being a lighter color to a dark red and black. Think Lycanroc’s Midnight form in Pokemon as seen below.

There is no doubt that this champion will finally be the one that fans have been searching for. She is not Warwick and not a “beast-type” champion like Bel’Veth was supposed to be. Naafiri is full-on beast and one that should be fun to play.
