Staying cool is a key part of survival in Lego Fortnite. If your temperature ticks above safe levels too much and for too long, you’ll start taking damage. So you’ll need something to make you resistant to the high temperatures.

Our Lego Fortnite guide will explain how to stay cool while you explore the desert biome and its caves.

How to keep cool in Lego Fortnite

Survival in Lego Fortnite not only means dealing with baddies, but also managing your own hunger and temperature. Since you need to explore biomes with temperature extremes, that means you have to learn how to deal with the heat and cold. You’ll have to explore the Dry Valley desert biome as you progress through Lego Fortnite. It’s where you’ll find flexwood, obsidian, copper, ruby, and brightcores.

Heading into Lego Fortnite’s Dry Valley desert biome means you’re going to have to deal with the heat. Beyond that, the Dry Valley’s caves are full of lava and even hotter than the surface. Luckily, you have options:

  • Eating a snowberry will give you two minutes of resistance to heat. You’ll find them growing in the Frostlands biome.
  • Make some snowberry shakes (2 snowberries, 1 milk) — cows drop milk when you pet them — at a juicer (8 planks, 8 marble slabs from a stone breaker, and 5 knotroot rods). The shakes give you 10 minutes of heat resistance.
  • Craft a cool-headed charm (3 silk thread, 3 sand shells, 1 marble) at an upgraded crafting bench. The charm gives you permanent resistance to heat.

The effects of the cool-headed charm and the snowberries (or snowberry shakes) stack, so use both to make sure you stay cool.
