If you want to fast travel to otherwise very hard areas to access or you want to set a new main base out in the wilderness of Embervale, then getting Sparks is what you must be focusing on doing in Enshrouded. You see, a Spark is the most important resource whenever you are set on strengthening your Flame Altar. Successfully doing this will increase how many Flame Altars you can build at a time as well as how much time you can spend in the Shroud and even what level of Shroud you can walk in. Awesome, right? Well, yes, but you will need to get the Sparks needed to increase your Flame Altar levels. Where are they? Everywhere!

You see, while you explore around the world, you will encounter Flame Shrines out in the open. These Flame Shrines house the Sparks you will need to upgrade your Flame Altar and you can find them across the whole Embervale map. There are also Flame Sanctums which are more secluded and will require you to complete a mini-dungeon to get the Sparks. However, due to their nature, Flame Shrines will become your main source of Sparks.

Exploring will be the best way you can find Flame Shrines. Reading scrolls will oftentimes reveal the location of Flame Shrines, but I suggest using your Glider to have a much better look at the open field. You will oftentimes encounter one Flame Shrine on the ground you can just glide to. Once you do, only interact with the Flame so you get a Spark.

Each Flame Altar level will require an increasing number of Sparks, so you better have searching for Flame Shrines as one of your priorities. You will need to offer other resources for each level, but they are – for the most part – more common than the Sparks.
