When you decide to gather materials in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, they’ll usually be of fine quality, but how would you get them to be superior or exquisite?

I came upon a side quest that asked me to gather an exquisite or superior Shell Fruit and Crimson Mushroom, but every time I picked one, it was just ‘fine’. This was strange to me, since I made sure I picked it right and it was in the right environmental condition. How you can get superior or exquisite materials in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is by reducing the pollution levels or upgrading your gathering skills.

Since you get this quest quite early on, I’d yet to take on many RDA bases. When you take over an RDA bases in a polluted area, it will reduce the pollution, allowing you to gather better-quality resources, such as moss. My guess is that the more RDA bases you take on, the less the pollution levels are. I’m still trudging through this game, so I’m still figuring this out.

There’s still another way to increase your chances of obtaining high-quality loot. Check out your skill tree, and look at the Maker category. The ‘Stable Hands‘ skill can make gathering easier to perform.

This will make you more likely to gather items in pristine condition. I’m not sure if this can enhance the quality in general. I sometimes gather in pristine condition and still get the ‘fine’ quality.

You can also try ‘Renowned Crafter‘, which makes all Na’vi crafting experts willing to trust you with their best materials. Essentially, traders should start selling you better-quality materials. But even without this skill, I managed to find a trader who sold me a superior-quality Crimson Mushroom.

Honestly, I believe that the best way to get high-quality loot is to start taking over more RDA bases and reducing the overall pollution levels. Upgrading your gathering skills may aid you a little bit, but it seems like the pollution is the main problem.
