13.45 – Satchell Moran Solicitors Business Interruption Claims Handicap – 5f
This will be run at a fierce pace and it’s hard to knock JABBAROCKIE, who looks to have sound claims from the inside draw. He made all in a good time at Musselburgh last month and there is plenty to like about his chances from only a 3Ib higher mark. COPPER KNIGHT isn’t the force of old but was second in this in 2019 from a 15Ib higher mark and likes it around here, so should go well off a low-weight with James Sullivan booked to ride.
Selections: JABBAROCKIE, COPPER KNIGHT
14.15 – tote+ Biggest Dividends At tote.co.uk Dee Stakes (Listed) – 1m2f
FOXES TALES pulled clear with another useful prospect when opening his account at Newbury 18 days ago. He’s bred to stay this distance and, with further improvement on the cards, looks good each-way material. The Aidan O’Brien-trained ONTARIO was placed in a couple of Group 2s as a juvenile and shaped well when third under top weight on return at Newmarket. He has excellent claims of providing connections with a ninth win this event.
Selections: FOXES TALES, ONTARIO
14.45 – Deepbridge Estate Planning Service Handicap – 7f
YAZAMAN is a quirky customer but has the class to go close here, particularly if rediscovering last season’s two-year-old form when placed in multiple Group races. He ran well to finish fourth in a strong-looking handicap at Newbury 20 days ago and has a big each-way chance here despite being drawn wider than ideal. BAKERSBOY ran well to finish a staying-on seventh on all-weather championship and can’t be discounted on handicap debut.
Selections: YAZAMAN, BAKERSBOY
15.15 – tote+ Pays You More At tote.co.uk Ormonde Stakes (Group 3) – 1m5f
JAPAN wasn’t at his best last term so has questions to answer here, but he’s the class act in the field being a dual Group 1 winner and takes a significant drop down in grade, so should take all the beating. The interesting one, though, is SONNYBOYLISTON, who has gradually raised his game through the ranks and will be suited to the softer conditions for the in-form Johnny Murtagh team.
Selections: JAPAN, SONNYBOYLISTON
15.45 – Destination 2 Handicap – 1m2f
SPIRIT DANCER looked in need of his return three weeks ago and should go well with that run under his belt from a handy slot in stall two. FIRST IMPRESSION ticks a lot of boxes here, who arrives in fine fettle. He won a very nice race at Ayr when last seen on the flat and should give another good account of himself from stall 1 with Jason Hart booked to ride, which can be recognised as a positive.
Selections: SPIRIT DANCER, FIRST IMPRESSION
16.15 – British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes – 5f
MERCURIAL showed a lot of ability when second on debut at Bath and remains a key player with Hayley Turner doing the steering, while ZOLTAN STAR was also runner-up on debut last month and looks sure to improve with the remainder hard to recommend.
Selections: MERCURIAL, ZOLTAN STAR
