To find the Bell Tower puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need to visit a specific area in the castle. The closest fast travel point is Bell Tower Wing – Bell Tower Courtyard. Once you spawn, look to the right of the Floo Flames  to see a staircase that you can climb. Go past the Eye Chest (if you approach it stealthily, you’ll earn a lot of gold), and keep going up past the music room. Eventually, you’ll reach a wooden section with several bells that are hanging.

There are two bells that are on the platforms. One is at the landing once you reach the wooden section, and the other is further up on a plinth at the opposite wall. Both of these need to be moved to their correct positions in the center beams where all the other bells are.

There are a couple of ways to solve the Hogwarts Legacy Bell Tower puzzle, and they involve particular spells:

  • Accio and Levioso – These spells are acquired early in the campaign. Levioso can be used to lift the bells, and Accio will pull them toward you. It takes a bit of practice because the objects will bounce around and hit walls and beams. You do need to watch out in case you accidentally drop them since it’ll be a chore to lug them back to the top.
  • Wingardium Leviosa – The other method is via Wingardium Leviosa, which is unlocked a few hours into the campaign. It’s similar to Levioso, but it lets you control the lateral positioning of the object. In fact, if you cast Levioso followed by Accio, your spell combination will automatically turn into Wingardium Leviosa’s mechanics if you already have the spell. In any case, the idea here is to bring the objects with you, and then use F and V to move them forward or backward when necessary.

So, is there no reward for completing the Hogwarts Legacy Bell Tower puzzle? Well, there is, but this is actually part of a sidequest called All’s Well That Ends Bell. If you’re doing this as part of free-roam exploration, then you won’t get anything, though you do get to skip this part once you’re tackling the quest.

If you do wish to grab some loot, don’t forget to take the Bell Tower exit at the top of the steps. You’ll reach a balcony that has a legendary chest to your left.
