George Clinton Fends Off Ex-Producer’s Defamation Claims

Law360 (August 13, 2021, 7:42 PM EDT) — Parliament-Funkadelic bandleader George Clinton has defeated claims brought before a jury in a California state court that he defamed his onetime producer Armen Boladian in the musician’s autobiography. 

After Clinton won a jury verdict in his favor last month, Judge Dennis J. Landin of State Superior Court of Los Angeles County made it official on Wednesday when he entered a judgment on that verdict, court documents show.

Judge Landin said Boladian would get nothing from Clinton on the defamation claims, which included allegations that the musician defamed him in 20 different statements throughout the book “Brothas Be, Yo Like George, Ain’t…
