GAYLORD — The Gaylord City Council Monday night voted to revoke the marijuana license for Exclusive Brands after the company failed to adhere to site plans that comply with city requirements.
City treasurer Travis Hewitt, who also serves as zoning administrator, said Exclusive, which had just recently opened a retail marijuana store at 1385 W. Main St., had a lighting plan for its building that was submitted and approved at a planning commission meeting.
“They deviated from that site plan and installed non-compliant lighting,” Hewitt said. “We brought that to their attention and requested that they resubmit the lighting plan. They resubmitted the lighting plan and didn’t indicate (that the approved lighting) had been installed.”
