The Carolina Panthers are attempting to beef up their offensive line after a 1-10 start. Veteran offensive lineman Gabe Jackson is joining the Panthers on what could assumed to be a one-year contract for a yet unknown of money.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Jackson was a third round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft by the (then) Oakland Raiders. He stayed with the team through their move to Las Vegas, before being traded to the Seahawks in return for a fifth round selection. He was released by the team in March of 2023.

The 32-year-old Jackson played in 15 of 17 games with the Seahawks in 2022. He did not have a single penalty against him that season. He now joins the Panthers, who have one of the worst offensive lines in the league, after the team has fired their head coach through just 11 games.
