Miller starred for one season at Alabama and was the best freshman in the country. Now he is in the 2023 NBA Draft.

Out of high school, Miller was a five-star recruit out of Tennessee who signed with Alabama. He took the college basketball world by storm by averaging 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. His play helped Alabama land a number one seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, but they were bounced out in the Sweet Sixteen.

Following the NCAA Tournament, Miller declared for the 2023 NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a top-five pick.

Brandon Miller Strengths

Miller is a bigger wing at 6-foot-8.25 and 200 pounds. His height gives him the opportunity to shoot over other defenders. He also has a 6-foot-11 wingspan, which is excellent for a wing player. Miller has good measurables for the NBA.

He has the ability to score at all three levels. Miller can shoot from deep and did so well at Alabama at over 38 percent. He can pull up from midrange and is decently successful there as well. Miller can get to the basket and score in transition too.

On the defensive side of the ball, Miller’s athleticism and length is an asset. He can guard multiple positions from guards to wings and even small-ball power forwards. Teams who switch on pick and rolls can trust that Miller will be able to switch and still be successful on defense.

Brandon Miller Weaknesses

Miller will need to add to his frame, as he is just 200 pounds. He can have a hard time battling down low with bigger players, whether that be rebounding or him finishing at the rim. His lanky frame looks like he can add more muscle pretty easily.

He will need to work on his decision-making as a passer at the next level. Miller needs to find the open man and cut down on his turnovers. When double-teams come, he needs to make better decisions and not take contested shots. He struggles with pressure so teams will look to see if he can handle it in the NBA.

While he has solid body control and is a good athlete, he doesn’t have elite athleticism. Miller won’t wow anyone with his leaping ability and could have trouble finishing at the next level because other players will be able to match up with his height and athleticism.

Projected Draft Range: Top Five Pick
