THE developer behind the Gold Coast apartment building where the penthouse sold for a record-breaking off-the-plan price of $20m has amalgamated two of the last remaining units to create an uber luxurious beach house.

Spyre Group bosses say there was so much demand for the penthouse in ‘Glasshouse’ at Burleigh Heads that they have made the decision to combine two residences in the development to create a three-level beachfront mansion.

Spyre managing director Daniel Laruccia said there was a gap in the market for an “ultra-

luxury product” in Burleigh Heads that offered five bedrooms and multiple living spaces.

“The amalgamated residence will provide the functionality of a very large home within a location that is essentially reserved for multi-residential living on Burleigh’s beachfront,’’ Mr Laruccia said.

Construction started on the project in August 2022, in what was originally intended to be a three-residence development.

The amalgamated residence, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year, is for sale with the price available on application.

The home has been designed by bureau^proberts, with landscaping by CUSP.

Last year, the penthouse in ‘Glasshouse’ at Burleigh Heads set a new record for the off-the-plan sale of an apartment in Queensland when it fetched $20m.
