FIFA 23 Bundesliga TOTS: More MASSIVE cards are coming soon

The Team of the Season campaign rolls on in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, with the Bundesliga TOTS up next.

While Bayern Munich has traditionally dominated the Team of the Season, there is much more variety this year, with Borussia Dortmund battling out for the title and impressive campaigns from RB Leipzig, Union Berlin, SC Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen.

Bundesliga TOTS Leaks

We’re drawing closer to the Bundesliga TOTS squad being released in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, which means the leaks have started to come in!

As you would expect, stars like Jude Bellingham and Joshua Kimmich are set to be on the way, but there are some unexpected players coming as TOTS Moments too.

Bayern Munich duo Sadio Mane and Leon Goretzka haven’t done enough to make the main squad, but are leaked to gain a TOTS Moments version.

Bundesliga TOTS Release Date

The Bundesliga Team of the Season voting has closed, with the voting period running from Tuesday, 25 April to Friday, 28 April.

A loading screen confirmed that the Bundesliga TOTS will be released on Friday, 12 May at 1pm ET / 6pm BST, replacing the Premier League TOTS.

We should see the Saudi Pro League TOTS squad join the major league in packs on Sunday, 14 May, taking over from the EFL TOTS cards.

Each squad will stay in packs for one week only, with the La Liga TOTS and MLS TOTS sides expected to take over from them.

The shortlist for the Bundesliga Team of the Season has been revealed, with plenty of names on it that could gain incredible cards over the campaign.

Predictions

From the players on the shortlist, we expect to see the following players included in the final Bundesliga TOTS squad:

GK – Mark Flekken (OVR 89)

Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken is fully deserving of the number one spot in the Bundesliga Team of the Season XI.

He has kept the joint-most clean sheets, with 12 in the Bundesliga. Flekken also has the third-highest save percentage of any goalie with 73%.

RB – Jeremie Frimpong (OVR 92)

There’s only one man that will occupy the right-back/right-wing-back position in the Bundesliga TOTS – Jeremie Frimpong.

The Dutch full-back has been brilliant for Leverkusen this season, scoring eight goals, providing six assists, and helping the side keep nine clean sheets.

CB – Matthijs de Ligt (OVR 94)

Still only 23 years of age, Matthijs de Ligt has the defensive know-how and ball-playing ability of a player well beyond his years.

de Ligt is now the leader in the Bayern back line and has helped the league leaders concede the fewest goals of any team in the league this season bar Union Berlin.

LB – Alphonso Davies (OVR 93)

Both Alphonso Davies and Raphael Guerreiro are in the running for the left-back spot, but we think the Canadian will come out on top as he did last year.

The 22-year-old has once again been electric for Bayern Munich, providing four assists from the full-back position as well as one goal.

CDM – Joshua Kimmich (OVR 95)

Bayern Munich number six Joshua Kimmich continues to perform on a world-class level for the German Champions.

The holding midfielder has appeared in 30 of Bayern’s 31 league matches so far this season, picking up four goals and six assists in the process.

CM – Jude Bellingham (OVR 96)

England starlet Jude Bellingham has been the best midfielder in the Bundesliga this season and by quite some distance.

The 19-year-old has the highest-average WhoScored rating of any player in the league during the 2022/23 campaign and has contributed with seven goals and five assists too.

CAM – Jamal Musiala (OVR 94)

Jamal Musiala is nothing short of a footballing sensation. The 20-year-old is one of the most talented youngsters to emerge in Germany for quite some time.

The Bayern Munich playmaker has netted 11 goals and provided 11 assists this season, no doubt securing his place in the TOTS squad.

RW – Moussa Diaby (OVR 94)

The right-wing position will be a hotly contested one in the Bundesliga squad, with Julian Brandt and Serge Gnabry having excellent seasons.

We think Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby will just edge it, though, with nine goals and nine assists to his name this term.

ST – Randal Kolo Muani (OVR 90)

Whilst 24-year-old Randal Kolo Muani is not strictly a leftwinger, we simply had to fit the Eintracht Frankfurt attacker into the starting XI.

The French forward has registered 13 goals and 12 assists in the league this season and was the first Bundesliga player to reach double digits in both categories.

ST – Niclas Fullkrug (OVR 93)

With 16 goals and five assists for the 2022/23 campaign so far, Niclas Fullkrug is sure to start down the middle for the Bundesliga TOTS.

The likes of Christopher Nkunku and Marcus Thuram will most likely make the subs bench, but Werder Bremen’s number nine will be the main man.
