These innovative new seats, which debuted in 2022 on Delta’s A321neo aircraft, give customers more privacy, additional stowage space for personal items and a sturdier tray table, in addition to enhanced comfort.

Customers on the inaugural flight were the first to experience an improved cabin experience throughout – including an industry-leading domestic First Class seat – and flew with confidence that their trans-continental journey is more fuel-efficient.

“Delta is committed to creating a consistent and elevated customer experience across all touchpoints of the travel journey, which includes offering the best products for our customers while in-flight,” said Mauricio Parise, Vice President of Brand Experience. “Enhancing our aircraft interiors with select retrofits will give customers more premium options to choose from.”

Delta will also refresh Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin on select Boeing 737-800 aircraft, where upgraded, 10-inch Panasonic seatback screens will enable added enjoyment of the more than 1,000 hours of free premium entertainment available on Delta Studio. Elsewhere on the aircraft, upgraded lavatories will deliver touchless features.

Outside of the cabin, Delta is also upgrading the winglets by installing split-scimitar winglets. This enhancement will make the aircraft more fuel efficient, saving nearly 3.3 million gallons of fuel per year.

These cabin upgrades are the latest step in Delta’s ongoing efforts to elevate the customer experience on board and deliver on the airline’s commitment to provide a best-in-class suite of products. In recent years, Delta completed nose-to-tail cabin refreshes of its Boeing 767-400ER aircraft and other widebody aircraft as it installed Delta Premium Select cabins onboard. Additional cabin upgrades are coming for select Boeing 757 and widebody aircraft in the near future.

MORE DELTA ONE SEATS ON A350-900S

As customers increasingly seek premium travel experiences, Delta is also expanding the Delta One cabin on its fleet of Airbus A350-900s. The airline is adding eight more award-winning lie-flat suites to the long-haul jet. With these modifications, the A350-900 will soon feature 40 Delta One Suites, 40 seats in the Delta Premium Select cabin, 36 extra-legroom seats in Delta Comfort+ and 159 Main Cabin seats. The first modified A350-900 aircraft in this new configuration is expected to enter into service in Summer 2024.
