A bit of bad news, folks! NEOWIZ just dropped that they are pulling the plug on BraveNine Story, the novel RPG. So, the game is saying its goodbyes on February 29, 2024. They stopped in-game purchases on January 29, 2024, but players can continue to play the game for another month.

Well, some of you might confuse this with the main BraveNine title, so let me clear it out for you. BraveNine Story, also known as BrownDust Story, is the spin-off of BraveNine. It’s more of a visual-style novel RPG rather than a strategy RPG.

Why Are They Pulling The Plug?

NEOWIZ is pulling the plug mainly because keeping the game running smoothly is turning into a tough gig. Despite all the love from the players, they reckon shutting it down is the way to go for a better gaming experience down the road.

Before the final curtain falls, NEOWIZ is offering refunds for any diamonds you still have from your purchases. All you need to do is shoot them an email with the deets by February 29. If you never tried this game out, then download it from the Google Play Store and give it a try before it shuts down!

Ever Played BraveNine?

BraveNine Story was launched back on November 29, 2022. It stopped getting updates after May 31, 2023. Meanwhile, the original BraveNine is still getting its regular updates. NEOWIZ seems to be going all-in on the newer games, such as Brown Dust 2, which dropped in June 2023. In my opinion, Brown Dust 2 played a big part in BraveNine Story’s fate.

BraveNine Story has an awesome storyline, full of plots and twists. It has a turn-based combat system and you get to collect a bunch of waifus. However, the graphics aren’t up to mark and it doesn’t have any character voiceovers. These may be some of the reasons that the game is shutting down just after it completed one year.
