Been Playing Around with ChatGTP? Don’t Forget GTP-3

As you likely already know, ChatGTP is based on GTP-3. If you’ve been playing around with the former, don’t forget to check out the differences/strengths in capabilities of the latter. What are those differences? Let’s ask ChatGTP:

ChatGPT is a language model created by OpenAI as well, however it is just a smaller version of the GPT-3 model, specifically fine-tuned for conversational AI.

GPT-3, or Generative Pretrained Transformer 3, is OpenAI’s largest language model to date. It has been trained on a diverse range of internet text and has the ability to generate human-like text, answer questions, translate languages, summarize long texts, and much more.

In contrast, ChatGPT is a smaller language model that has been fine-tuned specifically for conversational AI. This means that it is more focused on generating text that is appropriate for conversations and is likely to respond more accurately to questions related to conversation and language use.

So in short, GPT-3 is a large, general language model with a wide range of capabilities, while ChatGPT is a smaller, more specialized model for conversational AI.

In this video, Matt Wolfe he looks at GTP-3 and some of the ways that it is more powerful than ChatGTP. A number of the things he talks about, ChatGTP can do, too, so it’d be interesting to do a comparison between the two programs.
