THQ Nordic’s Alone in the Dark reboot has been delayed, and is now set to come out on March 20, 2024. The decision to push the game back was made, the publisher said, because if it had gone ahead with the planned release in January, “the Christmas season would have been filled with stress and anything but a jolly time” for developer Pieces Interactive.

“The well-being of the teams is a top priority, and both companies want to avoid any potential crunch over the Christmas holidays,” THQ Nordic je rekel. “Furthermore, THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive want to ensure that the game not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the community, especially with the outstanding performances of Hollywood stars David and Jodie as the main protagonists.”

V novi igri igrata nagrajena igralca David Harbour in Jodie Comer, še bolje pa ima izvirno zgodbo, ki jo je napisal Mikael Hedberg, veteran slavnih kovalcev grozljivk Frictional Games, katerih pretekle zasluge vključujejo Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: Rebirth in briljantno zasukano Soma. Z malo sreče bi to lahko prispevalo k nepričakovano dobri izkušnji grozljivk preživetja in večina oboževalcev AITD na družbeni mediji zdi se, da je bolj veselo čakati, kot da bi hiteli.
