A video of passersby in the street of Nairobi, pausing and throwing wild stares at a model, has cracked up Kenyans.

The footage shows a bold model, adorned in traditional attire and beaded jewellery, calmly applying a bold red shade of lipstick.

As he meticulously perfects his makeup, passersby and street vendors pause their activities, their eyes fixed on the mesmerising scene unfolding before them.

Many were caught on camera wildly staring at the man clad in Maasai regalia, who in turn blew them kisses as they walked away with their heads bowed.

An elderly man walking by with his heavy load paused and stood transfixed at the model without blinking for what seemed like an eternity. He later walked away.

“Selfies time,” the video was captioned on TikTok.
