Team Liquid offlaner Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg reveals his thoughts about Team Liquid’s resounding 2-0 win against Berlin Major 2023 champions

Team Liquid’s reign of dominance in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 shows no signs of waning. After securing the top spot in Tour 1 and Tour 2, the team continued its impressive performance, winning all but one series against Entity in Tour 3. Adding to their success, Team Liquid recently celebrated a significant milestone by prevailing over their long-standing rivals, Gaimin Gladiators.

Reflecting on their decisive 2-0 victory against Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid’s Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg shared his insights in a post-match interview. Zai acknowledged that Tour 3 of the DPC has seen both Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators perform below their usual standards. However, Zai highlighted Team Liquid’s ability to excel even in such circumstances, giving them an edge over Gaimin Gladiators.

“I don’t know, they’re very good and we look up to them and while we look up to them we also hate losing to them so it definitely felt good to beat them. But I think I would say both our teams right now are maybe not in top shape. So when we’re both kinda overweight, we dint make the weight cut and we’re kinda out of shape, maybe we’re just better. So we’ll see in upcoming tournaments but they’re always fun to play and they’re an amazing team so looking forward to more matches.”

Despite Gaimin Gladiators’ impressive track record of three consecutive grand final victories over Team Liquid, Zai’s comments suggest a change in the dynamics. Zai’s insight underscores Team Liquid’s ability to adapt and remain resilient in the face of adversity, allowing them to regain the upper hand.
