Latest – Cover Superstars Voted on by Fans

With the excitement building already, the official WWE on Fox Twitter account put out a vote to let the fans make their voices heard about who should be the cover star for WWE 2K22.

While this wasn’t an official vote to decide the cover star of the title, it did show how firmly fans are standing behind Sasha Banks and Drew McIntyre, still two of the top stars in the company today.

Both have been mainstays in the last year, so it’s no surprise fans would want to see them on the cover of WWE 2K22, but only time will tell if that becomes a reality.

Reveal Date

As for when we’ll get a reveal of the WWE 2K22 Cover Star, the best way to get an idea is to look back at WWE 2K20 and the release in 2019.

The WWE 2K20 Cover Stars of Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns were revealed on August 5, 2019, meaning we can likely expect a similar timeframe for WWE 2K22.

While WWE 2K22 hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, there are signs the company is targeting a return to their normal release schedule this year after WWE 2K21 was cancelled.

Sasha Banks

“The Boss” has been on fire since capturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship last year at WWE Hell in a Cell against Bayley.

Sasha Banks is now looking forward to a marquee match at WrestleMania 37 in her title defense against Bianca Belair, but even a loss there likely won’t keep her out of the top running for long.

Roman Reigns

Usually there’s an undeniable “Top Guy” in WWE, and right now it’s still Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Since making his return at SummerSlam 2020, Roman Reigns has been absolutely dominant, and he hopes to continue that at WrestleMania 37 when he defends his title against “The Rated R Superstar” Edge.

Drew McIntyre

While Banks and Reigns seem like the most likely options, the third possibility that’s also had a great year is Drew McIntyre.

He defeated Brock Lesnar back at WrestleMania 36 for the WWE Championship and has been the cornerstone of WWE Raw pretty much the entire year since then, and he’s looking to regain that title at WrestleMania 37 against WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
