Diablo 4 is, regardless of any faults in other departments, no slouch when it comes to the sheer volume of content it contains. From quests to items to areas on the world map, there’s so much to explore that you could easily sink months into fully savoring it all. Dungeons are one such abundance, with over 150 in total dotting the overworld, beckoning greedy travelers in with the promise of loot while preparing to ambush them with a horde of skeletons at the same time. Most of these are easy to stumble upon naturally in your travels, but some take a little extra digging to unearth, such as Uldur’s Cave. You’ll need to travel deep into the desert to do so, but this guide will show you where to find Uldur’s Cave in Diablo 4.

How to locate Uldur’s Cave in Diablo 4

Reaching Uldur’s Cave

Uldur’s Cave can be found in the Kehjistan region of the overworld map, specifically the Ragged Coastline area. Despite this, the Cave isn’t located directly on the coast as you might expect, but rather inland, amid the intricate cave system that dominates much of western Kehjistan. The easiest way to reach this dungeon is to warp to the Iron Wolves Encampment Waypoint, and travel south-west into the caves from there. The map above provides detailed directions based on this approach.

Unlike some of the more secretive dungeons in Diablo 4, there are no prerequisites for entering Uldur’s Cave. You don’t need to clear a Stronghold or progress the Campaign to unlock it, you simply need to make your way there. This is easier once you’ve unlocked the Mount at the start of Act four, but you can reach this dungeon right from the start of the game if you’d like.

Once you’ve found it, you can get to work delving into the depths of Uldur’s Cave itself. It’s a fairly straightforward dungeon, and one that differentiates itself from the majority present in the game by not featuring a final boss encounter. This makes it easier than average to clear, if you’re aiming to do so.

The enemies found in Uldur’s Cave include Goatmen and Wild Beasts, as well as a large number of Bandits. These Bandits make up the bulk of the dungeon’s challenge, and you’ll need to take on a veritable horde of them before your time here is through. After you’ve made your way to the Bandit Hideout, which you do after destroying all of the wooden barricades in the dungeon, you’ll face the Bandit Ringleader in a mini-boss battle. After this, Uldur’s Cave will be complete!

In addition to the usual 30 Renown, and random level-appropriate item drops, you’ll also receive an Aspect for completing Uldur’s Cave: the Aspect of the Damned. This is a Necromancer-exclusive Aspect, and one that increases the Shadow damage you deal to foes afflicted by Decrepify or Iron Maiden by 30%. This is a significant boost, and one well worth picking up if you’re a Necromancer running a Shadow-based build.
