Baldur’s Gate 3 has a massive amount of content you can do on the side while completing the main quest, and it all feeds into one another very nicely. On multiple occasions I have been doing a side quest, only for it to have ramifications on another quest, which then has an impact on the main quest. During Act 2, you may find yourself in the Last Light Inn and come across a fellow named Rolan, who you might remember from Act 1 in the Emerald Grove. During a portion of Act 2, he can go missing, leading his family and friends to wonder where he is when they return from being captured in Moonrise Towers. Here’s our guide on where to find Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Where to find Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3

When you return to the Last Light Inn at some point during Act 2, Rolan will be missing, with people saying he set out to find his family without coming back. This is a pretty worrisome predicament, who knows what’s out there in the scary land of the Shadow Curse. Luckily though, finding him is rather easy to do if you know where to look for him. To find Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3 you will need to head just south-east of Moonrise Towers, and head towards the broken bridge which is at the location on the map below.

When you get here in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will find Rolan will be in a bit of trouble, finding himself fighting some Shadow enemies. You’ll need to take these out ensuring Rolan doesn’t perish during this conflict. That should be pretty easy however, as these enemies go down without too much of a fight and then you can continue with the quest.

After the fight that starts when you find him, Rolan will talk to you for a bit, and then he will head back to the Last Light Inn. You can then go back to the Last Light Inn and talk to Rolan and his family, and see that luckily everything has resolved itself and Rolan is back safe and sound.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for purchase on Steam.
