Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is well underway as fans explore the new map changes, Mythic weapons, and Battle Pass for the heist-inspired season. In just one month, Epic Games already brought a second wave of My Hero Academia skins to the Battle Royale, and now, they just dropped another Star Wars collaboration.

Ahsoka Tano headlines the latest crossover as the “secret” Fortnite Last Resort Battle Pass skin. To unlock the character, fans must complete a range of Ahsoka Tano Quests, including damaging opponents with a melee weapon.

Here’s a breakdown of all the melee weapons in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.

A Melee weapon in Fortnite is a Pickaxe. Using a melee weapon to down or eliminate an opponent requires you to get close enough to Pickaxe them to death. Each swing only does minimal damage, so try not to miss.

In Fortnite update v26.20, Epic Games also brought Lightsabers back to the island. Although they will only be available for a limited time, Lightsabers also count as melee weapons in Fortnite. Train with Ahsoka Tano during a match to receive a Jedi Training Lightsaber and Force abilities.

To deal melee damage in Fortnite, you must hit opponents with your Pickaxe. The easiest way to score quick melee damage is to Pickaxe knocked bodies. Finishing kills with a Pickaxe will count toward your overall melee damage.

Players struggling to tally enough melee damage to complete the Ahsoka Tano Quest can load into a bot lobby to easily Pickaxe AIs. They might get a few shots off, but you should easily be able to full kill bots with just a Pickaxe.
