In the latest in what has been a series of moves to push itself in the North, Central, and South American marketplace, the Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) have announced that it has partnered with Beyond The Summit to sponsor the latter’s forthcoming CS_Summit8 CS:GO tournament.

The move will be through EEG’s Vie.bet brand and as part of the deal, Beyond the Summit will broadcast the event in both English and Portuguese.

As a result of the deal, fans can be assured that they will be able to get the best CSGO betting from Vie.bet esports betting service.

It is the latest move from EEG within this region and comes on the back of securing two sponsorship deals in South America back in March. That deal included a partnership with the Peruvian esports organisation, Infamous Gaming.

What is The CS_Summit8?

The CS_Summit8 tournament will feature a prize pool of $50,000 and will run from the 14th May through until the 30th May. It is also one of the CSGO Regional Major Rankings (RMR) events with a total of 1,600 North American RMR points up for grabs for the winner.

The last CS_Summit7 event was held at the end of January 2021 online in Europe and saw 12 teams competing for a $200,000 prize pool. Virtus.pro were the winners of the event, pocketing $100,000 for the victory, where they beat Fnatic in the final.

A number of high-quality teams including FaZe Clan, Cloud9, Dignitas, MiBR, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Mousesports and OG competed in the event.

This new event is now focused on North and South America and you can be sure that many of the esports bets that Vie.bet will offer on the event will be focused on appealing to viewers and players in that region.

The last time the North American event was held was CS_Summit6 and that event saw 13 teams competing in the tournament including MiBR, Cloud 9, FURIA Esports, 100 Thieves, Team Liquid and Team Envy amongst others.

It was however the Evil Geniuses that landed the top prize in that event by beating Gen.G Esports in the final.

Why is EEG Expanding into North & South America?

The question of why EEG are seeking to expand their services in both North and South America, and also by default Central America, is simply a question of potential future custom for the company.

There has no doubt been an analysis of where the emerging markets are for esports betting across the globe and with markets already well-established in parts of Asia and Europe in particular, many experts in the industry are predicting that North and particularly South America are potentially lucrative future markets.

EEG is simply using its sponsorship through its Vie.bet brand to get its name well known within the esports communities across North and South America. Furthermore, by promoting the site on broadcasts, fans will become familiar with the Vie.bet brand and its odds and of course, this will result in more people signing up to the site.

The move is no different to moves by other similar companies into other potentially lucrative markets around the world, including some that have also moved to make a splash in the South American esports market.
