Hey, remember when Raven Software nuked the old Verdansk map in Call of Duty: Warzone and brought players back in time to Versdansk ’84? That was only a few days ago, and one of the prime reasons for that was to allow the developers more room to maneuver when it came to fixing glitches. However, the opposite has happened instead, with a new Warzone glitch that is allowing players to get underneath the Verdansk ’84 map (again) to cheat.
Disgruntled players have taken to Reddit to share their frustrations. In this instance, cheaters are getting underneath the map near the airport in order to get easy kills. What makes it so easy for them is the fact that other players are unable to see them and fight back.
It would not be that big an issue if the Warzone map glitch was confined to just the airport. Other reports have indicated that the problem is happening across the map. The stadium, train station, TV station, and downtown areas all seem to be suffering from the same issue.
Those exploiting the Verdansk ’84 glitch are definitely not playing by the rules, but not even the game’s mechanics can stop them. Should the circle start to close in, they can even zip line their way out from underneath the map. It really does not give legit players an incentive to compete against such odds.
Popularity problems
Call of Duty: Warzone is a massive game, and that means thousands of players are always joining. There are bound to be problems, yes, but the history of glitches in Warzone has been horrendous. Even with the new Verdansk ’84 map, we’re returning to some of the same old problems right away.
How cheaters are finding all these map glitches in such a short time is beyond me. The QA team has plenty of work to do over the next few days. Otherwise, this could be the infinite stim glitch all over again.
