Upcoming Blursday Socials: Anthropologist Lauren Herckis and SEI Ventures’ Matt Tower

Source Node: 873360

I’m delighted to tell you that this week’s Blursday Social guest (on 5/20 at 4 PM ET) is my friend Lauren Herckis, an anthropologist from Carnegie Mellon University who has studied faculty attitudes toward adopting EdTech and evidence-based teaching practices (among other subjects, both human and intellectual). Lauren is terrific. I’ve mentioned her or discussed her work a handful of times here on e-Literate.

Next week’s Blursday Social (5/27) we’ll be bringing back SEI Ventures’ Matt Tower. His recent post in his weekly Substack (which you should subscribe to) reminded me that it’s probably time to revisit Calbright, the PASSHE/SNHU deal, maybe the Perdue Online thing, and other attempts at creating innovation centers within academia.

As always, you can find links to the registration pages for these events on my Run the World profile page. And, as always, these events are BYOB.

Hope to see you on Blursday.
