This upcoming indie game will finally let you get really into craft beers

Craft beer and brewing is one of those niche hobbies that’s taken off in recent years, and most of us know a craft beer bud who would love to share their secret to suds. But actually getting into the hobby is easier said than done, which makes this new indie game look appealing.

Auroch Digital’s upcoming title Brewmaster looks a little dry, despite being about pouring some extremely wet pints. This isn’t a goofy or a joke title, but a game that tries to capture the authentic experience of homebrewing.

That means mashing malts, boiling hops, and pitching yeast in order to make the perfect pint. Players also get to customize their brewing station, tricking it out with equipment and accessories.

It’s a neat idea to have a simulation game that captures an otherwise expensive, time-consuming hobby that takes up a ton of space. I’ve had neighbors try to homebrew alcohol and the plastic jugs exploded in the night; this game would definitely be a preferable alternative.

Brewmaster is published by Sold Out and is planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X in 2022.
