Tarik Pledges to Donate $25 per Shorty Kill at Masters Tokyo

VALORANT’s biggest streamer and content creator joins others in the space to honor Karel “Twisten” Ašenbrener’s legacy

Popular VALORANT content creator and former CSGO professional Tarik “tarik” Celik joins Connor “Sliggy” Blomfield, Nathan “leaf” Orf, Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen and others to donate on every shorty kill at Masters Tokyo. Together, they will contribute funds to mental health organizations.

This initiative comes from Twisten, who donated around €1,450 ($1,545) after promising to contribute funds on every Shorty kill at VCT LOCK//IN earlier this year. The player for Vitality recently passed away after long struggles with mental health at age 19. 

After his passing, Ryan “RyanCentral” Horton, VALORANT caster and content creator, brought this idea over at Twitter to honor Twisten. 

I’ve seen some great ideas for honouring Twisten.

We could also continue Twisten’s ‘€25 for a shorty kill for charity’ at international events as a community. Even if people donate like €1 per kill (or just a set amount).

This Tweet prompted responses from popular streamers, professional players worldwide and even organizations who pledged to donate a specific amount on every Shorty kill at Masters Tokyo happening right now.

The North American Challengers League finalists, M80 and The Guard, also showed respect by starting their Grand Final game with a Shorty round. Tarik saw this on his watch party stream of the Masters, where he decided to join this act of gratitude.
