Faker's legendary roster took on the #1 NA team in a dynamic T1 vs C9 bo3 showdown that had both teams gunning for the lead in Worlds Day 4

Blazing into the third day, the first match-up pit the Unkillable Demon King against the strongest seed in the NA region. As the Worlds stage saw, Faker's quest for total victory only began as the Korean roster dominated the Rift in unrelenting force. But a tricky team like C9 had much more to give, and played with fantastic form that rivaled the LCK giants.

After C9 revealed a potentially volatile engage comp, the T1 draft got a strategic advantage by having Keria and Faker's choice of champs for last. Being known for their massive champ pools, the two T1 players had the chance to adapt around whatever their LCS opponents would pick next. In the end, Blaber topped off his team's pushing power with Bel'Veth, which was met with Faker's Sylas.

T1 had a dream start in their first match of the day. At the start, Faker and co. were putting on the pressure on both side lanes, with Oner taking first blood after invading top side. At the same time, Keria knew that C9 had a better botlane comp, so his Bard helped keep Berserker under their turret. After finding the Hextech Drake, T1 had complete control of the match 7 minutes in.

After a scrappy 3v3 ended in T1's favor, both Gumayusi and Zeus looked faster and stronger. They created enough space, and first Herald fell to T1's top-laner, who had enough sustain power to be a big threat.

At this point, EMENES could only hold the line with Orianna while the rest of Cloud9 struggled with a 4k gold deficit. T1 found their comfort zone, and shortly after 15 minutes, Cloud9's mid and top turret got destroyed.

Afterwards, Faker and co. staked their claim for their 3rd drake before winning a well-coordinated teamfight under C9's botside tower. The game was getting close to finishing, and after taking Baron uncontested, T1 was undeniably unstoppable with a 10k gold lead.

Game 1 was one of the fastest matches in the Swiss stage, and an absolute massacre for the LCS #1 seed as T1 did not suffer a single casualty.
