This quest is one of the more simple ones, especially of the four house exclusive quests. Players will be more involved with the Black family on this one though so that should excite them. This is a main story quest called, “Scrope’s Last Hope”.

That means that finding the initial note in the courtyard with the well won’t be hard. Then the player will do what is asked to find the other notes and then get to Scrope. He will reveal that he is Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black’s House Elf and that he is in trouble. Scrope will explain that Apollonia Black knew about the pages being torn from the book and asks for the player to search and area that might have them and a ring that Scrope can give to Black.

The player will find a grotto where they will see a journal. This will have Richard Jackdaw show up. This character’s death is important to the story. He will explain that the ring was sold and that where he died is where the pages are.

After this, the “Jackdaw’s Rest” quest will start which is again very important to the story.
