Severe turbulence on board Emirates Airline Airbus A380 injures fourteen passengers/crew members

The Emirates Airline Airbus A380 (registered A6-EEV) operated flight EK421 between Perth, Australia and Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 4 December. During the flight, while flying over the Persian Gulf, the aircraft suffered severe turbulence. 

We can confirm that flight EK421 from Perth to Dubai on 4 December briefly experienced unexpected mid-flight turbulence,” an Emirates spokesperson said.

Emergency services awaited the aircraft after landing at Dubai. In total, 14 passengers and crew members suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Another call for passengers to keep their seat-belt fastened during the entire flight.
