San Francisco Shock, Northern California McDonald’s Strike Partnership Deal

NRG Esports Overwatch League team, San Francisco Shock, have announced that they have entered into a partnership with northern area McDonald’s franchises through 2021. Financial details were not released.

“We are stoked to have McDonald’s on board, they are a natural fit for our team, our audience,” said Brett Lautenbach, president of NRG Esports. “The players are really thrilled to get behind this in a really authentic way. This is one of the more exciting partnerships we have launched from a player perspective.”

As part of the deal, San Francisco Shock will help McDonald’s engage the esports audience by creating custom content and other activations yet to be announced.
