That’s OK, we’ve done some research to find a few more affordable options – and there are quite a few.

With Adelaide’s median house price of $703,000 according to latest PropTrack figures in mind, here are five houses with asking prices below $700,000.

Kicking back and relaxing will be easy from the moment you step foot in this quaint, country style cottage.

Pour yourself a cold drink then take a seat on the wraparound veranda and enjoy the peace and quiet, or set up stumps for a game of backyard cricket with the family.

The property is listed with a $645,000 to $675,000 price guide.

7 Quinliven Rd, Port Willunga

Bright blue and surrounded by lush plants, this house stands out on its beachside street.

It has three bedrooms and an open kitchen, living and dining area, as well as two verandas on either side of the house for entertaining.

The best part though is that the 690sq m block is just a short walk to the beach and the popular Star Of Greece restaurant that overlooks the ocean.

Or you could argue that the property’s asking price is the best part at $649,000 to $699,000.

21 Andrew Street, Moonta Bay

This one isn’t within walking distance of the beach, but the water is still close by and easy to access.

Most househunters won’t be too concerned when they step inside and see how modern and open it is though.

The transportable home, which is on an 850sq m block, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open main living area, as well as a large back veranda for entertaining.

It’s on the market with a $489,000 price tag.

73 Corny Point Road, Corny Point

The ocean will literally be your backyard at this sprawling 1100sq m property.

There’s a path from the back of the three-bedroom, one bathroom house through the shrubbery to the pristine beach.

The property also has shedding for the boat, tractor and other vehicles, as well as undercover fish cleaning facilities and space for water toys.

While its asking price starts below $700,000, the higher end of the guide is above it – it’s listed for $650,000 to $715,000.
