Riot Games has revealed details about VALORANT’s 2021 esports circuit. The VALORANT Champions Tour will allow teams to compete at various levels and climb their way through the professional esports circuit. The Valorant Champions Tour is divided into three tiers: Challengers, Masters, and Champions.
What is the VALORANT Championship Tour?
The VALORANT Championship Tour is Riot Games’ plans for VALORANT esports in 2021. The esports circuit will feature three levels of competition ranging from open qualifiers to the main Championship event in December 2021.

Challenger events will take place over several weeks and act as open qualifiers for participating teams. These events give lower-tier teams a chance to qualify for the more prestigious Masters events.
Each challenger stage has three tournaments over six weeks with eight teams per tournament. Challengers events will be run by Riot Games as well as top-tier tournament partner operators.
VALORANT Masters
Masters events will take place only three times a year and represent the best players from each region. Due to COVID-related travel restrictions, Masters events will remain region-restricted similar to the First Strike events. However, Riot Games has kept open the option of changing Master events to International LAN events.

Teams earn points for their placements in each Masters event. These points contribute to a team’s chances of qualifying for the VALORANT Champions event that will take place in December 2021. VALORANT Champions is a two-week World Championship event featuring the top sixteen VALORANT teams from around the world.
When Will VCT Events Take Place?
Riot Games has already announced the schedule for the VALORANT Championship Tour in 2021. While the Challengers and Masters events are spread throughout the year, the Championship event will take place in December 2021.
