Rainbow Island will be arriving as the next Arcade Archives game for Switch, Hamster has confirmed. It’ll be launching on January 25, 2024.
Released by Taito in 1987, Rainbow Island is a sequel to Bubble Bobble, in which the player embarks on an adventure to save villagers captured by the Dark Demon King. Along the way you will be able to defeat enemies using rainbow magic, and also use them to jump your way through platforming segments. The EXTRA mode, which adjusts the difficulty, is also included.
The game will be available on the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.
