The Pokemon Company finally dropped the bomb on the Pokemon community with the latest announcement of a new presentation. Coming next week, fans can look forward to the Pokemon Presents Legends Arceus video that will be dropping in less than a week from now.

Pokemon Presents Legends Arceus Presentation Revealed

It has been quite some time since we last heard news about the next Pokemon games, but that will change with the upcoming Pokemon Presents. This particular presentation will be a Pokemon Presents Legends Arceus, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl event.

It is a Generation IV extravaganza as fans of that generation will be able to enjoy the 15th anniversary of them with some new announcements, trailers, and details for the three games. With each of them set to release less than six months from now, it is high time that we receive more news.

The Pokemon Presents Legends Arceus presentation on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 6 a.m. PT sharp. The presentation will happen and showcase those three games mainly as the video’s focus.

Players can tune in and get new information regarding Pokemon Legends Arceus, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, and Pokemon Shining Pearl titles. It is unknown if other games will be shown in the presentation, but these three will be the headliners.

How and When to Watch the Presentation

As for how to watch the Pokemon Presents Legends Arceus video when it begins, you can do that on the official Pokemon YouTube channel here. Suppose you are worried about missing out on the presentation, especially with the early morning times in North America. In that case, you can always subscribe to the channel and hit the bell icon to be notified when it goes live.

It is worth keeping in mind that the Pokemon Presents Legends Arceus presentation will be live then, but likely as a premiere video on YouTube, meaning that the actual video was pre-recorded before that. You are just among the first in the world to watch the footage as it is aired.

The reason that the presentation is happening so early in the morning for us in North America is likely because it makes sense to make sure that much of the world can enjoy it, too. It is still in the afternoon for Europe at that time and 10 p.m. for Japan.

This is a great way to offer the news a chance for almost everyone worldwide to get in there and watch it happen together. As for what will be shown there for the games is currently unknown, but that does not stop us from speculating about what we will see.

What We Do Know About the Presentation

From what we know so far, there are rumors on Twitter stating that the presentation will be around 28 minutes long. That is fairly long for a Pokemon Presents video, especially one focusing on only two sets of games at this time.

That leaves almost 15 minutes for each of them. Most trailers for games these days are anywhere from a minute to around four minutes long. This tells us that there are other surprises beyond just these two games or that we will get some seriously deep dives into what the games have to offer.

The latter is most likely the case as this presentation arrives as these games hit store shelves in less than six months from now, with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, in particular, arriving in nearly three months. There are plenty of rumors about what sort of content these games will have and, soon enough, we will know the truth of the matter.

Burning Questions We Have for These Games

In the case of the Generation IV remakes, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, will they stick mostly to the heart of the original titles, or will they shake the formula up, much like how the Generation III remakes did with Mega Evolution and the Delta Episode?

Also, we have still yet to officially hear about the graphics changes for the title, which we could see in the trailer for the Nintendo Switch OLED edition that was announced this summer. The graphics glimpsed there look much better than what we originally saw earlier this year for the titles.

With these two games likely having the main development on them finished for a while now, with the focus now being on bug fixes and various tweaks, that likely has given time to address the controversially cartoony graphics that were not too well-received by some fans.

On the other hand, we have Legends Arceus, which is the more mysterious of the two sets of games. Coming out in January of next year, we still know so little about how this experience will work, including more understanding about the battle system, the world, and how the story of Arceus will unfold.

It is a very different type of singleplayer Pokemon game that could build off what Sword & Shield did to usher in a new direction for the long-running franchise. Will it have new Pokemon or forms that we have never seen before?

Will it have a story-centric plot, unlike other games in the series? How will it work without traditional gyms? Will it even expand on Arceus to give it a new form? These questions and many more are on our minds, and, hopefully, we will have answers to some of them soon with the Pokemon Presents Legends Arceus presentation on Aug. 18.
