KPI or Key Performance Indicator can be defined as a practical and objective measurement of progress, either:

  • Towards a predetermined goal, or
  • Against a required standard of performance

We also all know our KPIs need to be SMART.

  1. Specific
  2. Measurable
  3. Attainable
  4. Relevant
  5. Time-Based

But also think about the outcome you are looking for in your Supply Chain.
