Cardano (ADA) users can now play on-chain games using their ADA tokens directly on the Cardano network. This development follows the partnership between the Cardano team and Paima Studios, which has facilitated seamless integration. With this partnership, Cardano users no longer need to transfer their ADA tokens to other networks to play blockchain games.

Paima Studios operates as a layer-2-network. It is an autonomous system that groups transactions and sends them to a primary blockchain for quicker processing times and reduced fees.

Cardano’s latest integration with Paima Studios is just one of the many recent developments within the ecosystem. In the coming days, Cardano is also aiming for a partnership to enable its users to access the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) through the layer-2 (L2) network, Milkomeda.

Given its history of success, Cardano’s recent progress is no surprise. On April 3, Cardano’s creator, Charles Hoskinson, revealed on Twitter that the number of individual wallets staking on the Cardano network considerably exceeded that of Ethereum (ETH). Then, Hoskinson said that Cardano was “quite exceptional.”

In the wake of this announcement, ADA token prices have experienced a 1.30% surge in the last 24 hours, with the digital currency now trading at $0.3953 per token. However, its trading volume has fallen by 36.70% to $369,003,222, while its market capitalization has grown by 1.26% to $13,734,533,761.
