Opera will integrate with the defi platform DeversiFi which will eliminate huge gas fees and slow network speeds that hinder the Web3 adoption so let’s read more in today’s latest blockchain news.

Opera is a web browser that supports Web3 and it recently announced Starkware, a DeverisiFi powered collaboration with the company Gateaway.fm. It also enabled the users to transact with Ethereum Layer 2 directly. The latest move is a part of Opera’s plans to offer cost and fast transactions in its mobile browser wallet as well as a new strategy to make crypto usage more mainstream.

According to the official press release, the integration will enable low-cost and fast DEFI functionality to the web browser’s millions of users. DeversiFi’s decentralized exchange eliminates the need for the user’s personal data and Opera also said that the growing hype around the deFi sector and the NFT industry, triggered a prohibitive transaction fee on the Ethereum mainnet. Partnering with DeversiFi and integrating a layer 2 solution will help the Opera users to send ETH to each other in peer-to-peer transactions with a swapping feature as well. The end goal is to remove the issues associated with the use of Web3, high gas fees, and slow network speeds. Opera will integrate these new solutions to eliminate the gas fees:

“Through this integration, the Opera users are able to seamlessly interact with DeFi on a user-friendly interface and experience a completely new way to interact with financial services at low costs, which are particularly relevant for those users who today are being priced out of the market due to high transaction costs on Ethereum.”

In 2018, Opera unveiled the first browser with a built-in crypto wallet and a Dapp explorer. This was followed by other blockchain integrations like Celo, BTC and it also introduced fiat to crypto on-ramps in the browser. Earlier this year, the Norwegian multinational technology company announced the beta launch of the crypto browser project for Windows, Android, and Mac users. The project aims to accelerate the evolution of Web3 by providing the users with more access to blockchain news, event calendars, and upcoming airdrops as well as NFTs and crypto communities. The users can also keep track of the crypto gas prices and check on the market sentiment.

As a part of the greater Dapp expansion, Opera partnered with Polygon to allow the users to transact in MATIC. The move allowed Opera users to tap into different platforms like Aave, Balancer, SushiSwap but also marketplaces like OpenSea, Sandbox, and Decentraland.
